Custom Framing
Patrice Bertin is the founder of Bertin Art Conservation on the upper eastside of New York City since 1970. Besides his painting conservation he worked with APF Custom Framing Co. and participated in the restoration of frames and the gilding of objects. As a consultant he collaborated with a curator of a major collection; recommending or designing the perfect frame for the artwork.
This knowledge and experience gives him a keen eye to choose the right framing option for his clientele. Specializing in reproduction of fine American and European frames from the 17th thru 20th Century to our day.
Mr. Bertin believes the goal for a framer is to find the appropriate solution to enhance the quality and beauty of the art. It is also important to be aware of the proper framing procedure to avoid damage to the artwork.
At L’Orangerie we can restore a valuable damaged frame or provide you with the best quality reproduction frames using fine woodcarving — 23 carat gold — with many finishes. It is for the customer who wants the best.
